Why Film Photography?
Film is simply timeless. A roll of film will last decades while the average hard drive will live only a few years. The colors will speak for themselves. Photographers still strive to get that "film look" while editing their images. My solution is to simply shoot in film and convert them to digital media. The palettes are subtle, sometimes pastel, sometimes beautifully vibrant - everything depends on that natural light and everything exactly as you remember the event to be and much romantic.
Film also taught me the discipline to shoot only when I think it will produce the right image. With digital, photographers tend to shoot a hundred only to expect 20 or less good images. With a limited film roll and time for changing then when they run out, I have to pressure myself to get those 36 shots count, not just a tiny percentage of it.
Even in today's digital age, premium commercial and wedding photography still comes in traditional film and that's what I'd love you to have. That premium quality service. For you to experience and for you to cherish even if the moments become decades old memories.
Thank you for letting me share this experience with you.
